Highlights An interfacial reinforcement structure is designed to stabilize MoS2-based electrode. The carbon coating improves the adhesion of TiO2 and MoS2 by forming chemical bonds. The carbon coating alleviates the large mechanical strain on TiO2 nanotubes. The carbon coating enhances Li ions adsorption at the interface of TiO2 and MoS2. Ultrafast charge/discharge capability, and superior cycling stability are achieved.
